THE BURNING

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS OF ANY DISCIPLINE The Burning. The Artist Rehab Center (A.R.C) is proud to present the First International Art Burning. 19-22, 24th November 2011 in collaboration with Recyclart Art Center. Brussels . Belgium Inherently any creative process involves a certain exploration into the unknown. The first and foremost important talent an artist must have, is the ability to spot what to keep and show and what to burn and hide. A good work exists on the back of a lot of bad ones. For sentimental reasons we find it difficult to rid ourselves of these ugly ducklings. The burning is a last resting place for the work that never deserved a moment in the sun. We invite artists to burn the demons clogging up there studios and fell the power of the future warming your hands and faces. Every participant will receive an ash sample,containing the remains of the collected artworks. Artist who want to participate but live abroad, please don't hesitate! You can send something small( big is good too) and in return we will send and pay for the certificate and ash sample that you receive after participation. Artist will also receive a link to video documentation of the project.
